Analysis:

The Hunger Games Film Saga has proven to be a movie phenomenon, grossing over USD $2.3 billion in worldwide box office. The first two films set records for opening weekends in U.S and are among the top 20 highest-grossing movies ever in the U.S.

While last years installment, Mockingjay Part One, underperformed around the world, the film was still the second highest-grossing U.S movie of 2014, with $337,135,885 domestically. A trend the THG movies is that the domestic totals reach beyond the clouds, but foreign totals struggle to stand tall. Lionsgate did their best to promote the films oversees but it still hasn’t reached the popularity of other YA films such as Harry Potter and Twilight. In the United States, as this installment will be the last (for now), the numbers are going to surge as “One Last Time” will obviously be a marketing asset. This hints at a stellar domestic total and a series high foreign total, but I doubt it will reach the magical USD $1 billion.

P.S: This movie is going to be big…
